Ontario's 2022 Bill 28 says "hi".

I'd thought this was a clip from the first WH visit months ago. "Transformative" worked then as it does now because it's true (US writ large and the world economy has been transformed for the worse). I see no value & a ton of risk if Carney got into it with Trump and emphasized the many negatives.

Dude. He's used this phrasing in the past at the last WH presser. As others have noted, "transformative" can be taken many ways and it's absolutely true, given the state of the US right now.

Is this one of those "rules for thee but not for me" things?

"...significant fine and an automatic (30 day) licence suspension, along with the vehicle being impounded by police (14 days)."

Conviction can result in more severe outcomes (longer suspension, fines, mandatory training, jail)

When has Trump apologized for anything (aside from the Access Hollywood tape)? To him, apologizing is a sign of weakness.

The best we can hope for is that he no longer repeats the remarks unprompted.

How easy might it be to recover from the loss of most admirals/generals? Disarray, especially within this administration, might last a bit longer.

I wasn't suggesting a conventional attack but enemies might think it'd be worth burning a few (or many) assets towards a less traceable terrorist attack

I know the base and maybe environs are probably super safe but announcing that they're putting many high value targets in one place seems... unwise.

The gaps left overseas due to their absence where they were stationed will certainly be tested, but this may offer too much temptation to pass up.

Do we include planned watches during bad movie nights (where we explicitly watch bad movies for badmouthing and drinking)?

Or are we talking seeing them without knowing their lack of quality beforehand?

Jesus. Next they're going to invent the concept of taking holidays and weekends off. Or some kind of leave for when they're sick or when they become a parent.

Clearly, we need to up the compensation packages for hot dog eating competitors. Science!™️ dictates that it's a dangerous profession.

TBF, it appears the reasons are informed by the country's own assessments. Aside from some region-specific info, each caution has links to country govt sites rating the terror risk as 3/5.

The US DHS put up a new advisory yesterday so I expect our bureaucracy to catch up (last Cdn update was 17th).

I mean I suppose a transport could've picked them up last minute and dropped them off somewhere (Alderaan?).

But Dinsey can still cash in on the name without wrecking the series/movie. Cassian & Bix's kid.
