Night-lover, nap-taker, hopeful Christ-follower, and generally just a silly little guy.

Rarely talk politics, but look at my avatar image and guess which color I support.
Time to go away, Chuck. You're incapable of providing the leadership we need.

Resign.

Weird, but also strangely sweet.

My pastor was doing a sermon on Luke's version of the Beatitudes (and the associated woes for the rich/powerful), and I noticed there was a guy in front of me SHAKING HIS HEAD. After the service, I heard him yelling at his wife, apparently because of the message.

Like, dude. Why are you here?

As an (attempting) Christian myself, it's so bizarre.

Jesus Christ is too woke. The prophets are too woke. Paul is even too woke for some.

Heck, some might find Genesis too woke: "Oh, dat dang God shoulda wrassled that chaos like Marduk, show it whose boss! Talking is a sign of weakness!"

And empathy's apparently a sin after the Bishop's witness 🙄

Well, they don't seem to care about the law, so why should we? The immunity law means nothing. Go out there and force the mango man to sit down and shut up.

Perhaps, but how might your/our ideals be impacted by historical forms of liberal theology, like the Social Gospel, Catholic Workers Movement, womanist theology, or even non-Christian progressive ideals, like those born of nature-based religions?

And Christianity has been fighting things like this as well. It seems to me it just depends on whether the ones professing care about the imitation of Christ.

Ngl, that seems like an overly generous view of human nature and culture.
