All of the Cadians in these shots are players. I captured all of these in live moments of combat, down time, or organized marches and proceedings. The press man in the final photo is someone from the Zeus team possessing an NPC to interact with members of the unit.
Cadians and Kasrkins of the 8th fighting on top a hill in a thick jungle environment. Dust is kicked up from the munitions hurled in the direction of the enemy. A large procession of Cadians marching with banners held aloft in parade formation. Two Valkyries in the horizon are splitting off in different directions, framed by tall skyscrapers in the pleasant urban streets. A dramatic photo of a street scene of a press reporter, fitted with a rebreather unit, interviewing a squad of Kasrkin elites on a petrochem jeep. The squad leader is standing to meet the interviewer, staring at their held pict-recorder while the other squadmembers remain on the jeep, one in the trunk bed while the other is standing on the hood. Further behind the scene is a ruined transport truck and many dead bodies in the truck and surrounding it.

We had a lot of fun times in the Unit. I got a ton of good photos of some of the stuff we did. The Zeus (Gamemaster) team we had made a ton of breathtaking scenes that were a joy to fight in.
Dozens of Cadian 8th guardsmen of the astra militarum lined up before a Command squad stood atop a podium. Off to the right of the podium is a Mechanicus Biologis, chief Surgeon of the Unit, and unit RTO. A guardsman with a long range vox-transmitter gazing up a hundreds meter tall Titan God Machine. Two smoke stacks emanating from burning vehicle wrecks. Two minuscule guardsmen can be seen trekking no mans land, sprinting in the direction of a Titan-God Machine looming over the battlefield. Columns of guardsmen stand before a raised command podium and center staircase leading to an Astartes statue gazing down upon the gathering. In the center, just before the start of the staircase, lies a dead gene-stealer traitor guardsmen.

I found a youtube channel that does nothing but record, catalogue, and identify ceiling fans and their issues in excruciating detail given the source material it's based on.

It's the best thing that has ever happened in my life.

A quick aside, I loved the skins available from that era. My favorite was the diver which I'll occasionally use to this day.

Puppygirls stay winning with the SM2 update.
A Primaris Space Marine of the Space Wolves. They are donning Mark X Phobos Armor, a lighter weight and streamlined suit of power armor. They have various wolf pelts, charms, bone and teeth trinkets, and runic etchings on the armor. Most strikingly is a white furred wolfs head pelt on the right shoulder, and a helmet in the snarling head of a wolf. Bow wow this is one scary buppy.

I mean, they exist but never obtain prominence in the setting. A sign things may be changing is the introduction of Vashtorr the Arkifane a very powerful daemon hoping to reach godhood. But again these are personalities on display, not unknowable entities which I tend to like the flavor of.
Vashtorr the Arkifane, a giant spindly daemon full of mechanical instruments of a corrupted, chaotic nature with wings of mechanical blades jutting out its back.

The shattering of ones reality is a lot less horrifying when you know its one of four flavors of evil. The unknowability of what you've lost or succumbed to is far more jarring and illustrative of the total unevenness of the pacts formed between mortal acolytes and daemonic manifestation.

Took a break from the 40k stuff to write from my own setting. Eager to get this one out there.

Tyranid Warrior VS. Hyralisk
A tyranid warrior of hive fleet leviathan. It possesses 4 arms, holding in the attached image a bonesword. It is upright, bipedal, and has prominent bone armor on its thighs, shoulders, and head crest. The colors of the hive fleet are purple and white, with the heavy carapace bits being purple while the remaining skeletal and body structure is white. A hydralisk from Starcraft II. It has a serpentine lower body and two arms. Instead of hands it features 3 imposing talons as finger equivalent. Like the Warrior, it also has a thick carapace head crest. Unlike the Tyranid the hydralisk is a leathery brown color.
