No. Why are we still voting for older people, are the current generation incapable of leading? That we always need to vote on retirees? I love Bernie, but we need to start voting for someone younger.

Just wanted to thank you for introducing this book. Man. The fact that many things of this book is still present with just a different skin and mask. It's scary hoe easily manipulated are everyone and the masses. It's scary, but this has pushed me to become more skeptical, question before accepting
I read Sagan’s “The Demon Haunted World” shortly after it came out and it’s still one of the most influential books in my life and on my thinking. 📖

It has always been relevant, and thirty years later it’s more prescient than ever.

Probably time for a re-read. 🧪

Not interested in seeing it. I'll wait until it's available on Disney+. If it's anything like Moana 2, I think I'd rather save some money than spend on something I most likely won't enjoyed. Moana 2 wasn't a good movie, I expect Snow White to be had as well.
#SnowWhite is currently at 45% on Rotten Tomatoes — based on 51 reviews 🟢

Love it, felt like a Children's book vibe. Sorry I haven't been active on BlueSky lately. Been trying to avoid social media in general to focus on myself. Great poetry as always.
Iron hinge
A #poem in four parts

A hinge had lost its companion door
which lay in grey splinters on the floor.

The hinge, unused, was caked in rust
while the door it once held crumbled to dust.

Watched Moana 2 lately on Disney+, it wasn't a good experience. If Moana 1 was a 7.5, then Moana 2 was a 4.5. It felt like a long episode of a series than a movie. I don't recommend anyone to watch it.

There are so many things going on that we forget to relax and take it easy. It's hard to cherish things when we always try to get the latest things. I can't even believe the Lego Movie came out 10 years ago, the Lion King 20 years ago, and I still feel like I'm only 20.I'm not.

Am I the only one that likes to put on headphones or earbuds without playing any music to avoid conversations with my colleagues and coworkers? I can't focus with music on, but definitely can't focus conversing with someone.

Best one so far, I love the play with words, though I am not familiar with some of the words that was used, it acts as a learning opportunity for me to expand my vocab.

Yes, people on both sides tends to generalize. That's one of the main issues that's causing disconnection with one another. No one is no longer willing to listen and thinks that their voice is the only thing that matters. No one is trying to understand one another, every is apparently the victim...
When we generalize about any group of people , we shut out the people who are on the fence. Trump is going to convince a lot of MAGA to stop supporting him. I'm ok being told I have TDS if the end result is that we convince the 1.5m more people that voted for him, to no longer consider him.
Part of what has me in a spiral is that there is no reaching them, Mark. They cannot have a civil conversation that does not include insults and hatred. That's the only way they can live with the ugliness of their choices. They are now devoid of diplomacy and decency.

I'm not sure what Churches you go to, but during homilies, it tends to talk about humility, being kind to others, while some of the discussions are not aligned with mine. I feel that majority of the homilies are great topics to keep in mind.

This is something people should pay attention to? There's a lot of glamour and attention on his next act that people forget to check and follow up his previous actions. Sadly, even mainstream media fails to do this. Keep us aware, if you see any abuse, please inform the public.
Here’s one thing that I’m watching with Donald Trump’s tariffs:

Which billionaires and giant corporations will buy themselves loopholes?

In his 1st term, well-connected insiders got tariff waivers.

This is one more way to make corporate CEOs kiss Trump's ring.

Hope for the best, not entice chaos and violence, accept that other opinions exist but can voice out my opinions when necessary, understand that there are systems and processes in place, diplomacy cannot fail, vote with my wallet, vote who represents me, be nice to everyone regardless of politics.
I can do this on my own, but I think crowd-sourcing might help. Quote copy, one thing you personally feel you can do to improve US society.

I hope this is true. Hopefully you'll make businesses shine more in Minnesota as well. Imagine the potential growth it'll bring, with affordable child care. Minnesota can become the next business hub.
We’re focused on feeding our kids.

Investing in our schools.

Making sure child care is affordable.

Regardless of the chaos unfolding in Washington, we’re making Minnesota the best state for kids to grow up.

Given the massive data breach at treasury, I highly recommend everyone put fraud alerts on all 3 of their credit reports. I did it with the AT&T breach and it is easy to do online:

@mcuban.bsky.social Can you explain why Luka was trade? Such a bold move. I'm sure you trust your GM, but I thought Luka was a franchise player. I expected him to stay at least 10 years, while I'm no expert. It feels like the Mavs are racing against time. I hope Coach Kidd makes it work out.

Agreed, information should be free, open and transparent. Man, I can already hear Pharmas and other companies ringing their cash registers nonstop.

So much chaos, I hope this is temporary and the other branch of government step up and undo these changes. If it is unconstitutional.
Donald Trump is scrubbing critical health information from government websites.

This is staggeringly stupid, anti-science, and will have real consequences.

People nowadays feels privileged, always wanting things to occur swiftly instead of understanding the intricacies of the current systems they are in. Real change occurs over time and they need a proper foundation to stand on. They need patience and hopefully connection to the masses.
Thats the point. If Unions become a solution for non-union, healthcare for small/medium businesses, the profile of Unions change immediately and the quality of care options go up immediately for those non union workers

Won’t be easy. Wouldn’t happen fast. But it would be game changing
This would be great, but most Americans don't have a union job! But universal health care would be best. Def a human right.

It's always good to point out hypocrisy. Keep up the good work. While I do understand their intent, it ends up being one ideology over another.

I guess no one can ever avoid biases. How would you approach this situation differently?
So much for focusing on meritocracy. Lol

Been waiting for checks and balance to kick in. So many Donald Trump news that people forget that there are other branches of government...
Let's be clear about what happened today: Donald Trump tried to cut a giant chunk of government funding — hurting preschoolers, seniors, and veterans.

Trump's illegal shutdown is blocked for now — but don't forget that he tried to cut programs supporting working families.

Whoever is doing their budget has a poor understanding of finance. Overbloated budget with little to minimal returns, it's not on TV, there are no ADs on Disney+. I don't see the benefit of a TV series with cost over 100 mil.
