For #LysitheaWLWWeek I wrote a fic about Lysithea pining for Edelgard, and everyone knows it... except Lysithea herself. Mostly because she doesn't know she's gay. Or that being gay is even a thing.

Fic title: Lysithea von Ordelia's Great Discovery Summary: Lysithea is down bad for Edelgard, and all of her friends know it. Hubert worries it might impact her focus on the war, while Dorothea encourages her to make the first move. There's just one small problem: Lysithea has no idea that a woman having romantic feelings for another woman is even possible.

For the @blackeagleslgbt.bsky.social zine, I wrote a story about three of my favourite subjects: Edelgard, Dorothea, and gender. :)

Dorothea leaned over and pulled out something from one of the boxes. “Would this help?” In her hands were a cloak, a helmet, and a mask. “I thought… maybe the Flame Emperor could introduce himself to me properly.” Edelgard wordlessly strode forward. It had been years since she had worn this, but she remembered how to put it on easily. She took up the helmet first: it felt cool where it touched her skin, but there was a familiar comfort in that. She beckoned to the mask next; with a gentle smile, Dorothea fastened it to the helmet with a satisfying snap. Finally, Edelgard took the cloak from her beloved’s hands. Normally it could be fastened onto the Flame Emperor’s armour, but in the absence of that, Edelgard simply wrapped the cloak around her shoulders. No. *His* shoulders.
