I'm attached to it's side characters because their flaws were not hidden and developed. But main characters unfortunately were not. Both seasons had its flaws but in a very different way. I don't prefer either over the other. I did enjoy certain moments and characters and can be critical to it too.

Which is why season 2 didn't have emotional impact. Season 1 other hand had emotional impact but avoided exploring main character flaw instead focused on romance which wasn't grown properly and accidentally gave better writing to brotherhood because it wasn't supposed to be the focus.

I know people consider season 2 better because the brothers are make up but to me is what if alternate timeline situation. It was too quick and seemed to admit their flaws as character but it was done without proper depth. Like "Yeah yeah I'm sorry I did wrong now we'll focus on something else"

Side characters avoided the writing flaws because they weren't the focus and main characters suffered because of too much and mix ups avoiding to focus on their flaws. The main characters had the opportunity to be equally great with the side characters found family trope, truly missed opportunity.

The show angered me the second time I watched it because first time just didn't register to me how really ridiculous some of the situations were but now it just makes me sad it had it all the ingredients for greatness and I still enjoy the show but I will not deny it's huge flaws.

The thing is Totnt really had the potential to be one of the greatest iconic shows. It is iconic in a way already but I mean as a story overall it could be so much better if writers had it in them to let their main character admit their flaws or called out and develop but themselves but sadly 🤷🏽‍♀️

It's a fairy tale yes and I could have stopped watching it but I did enjoy the found family that seemed genuine and didn't seem to forced compared to the other aspects of the series where writer was clearly trying too much.

Anyways that's just my thoughts because I get where the person your talking about would be coming from because I understand I enjoyed some aspects of the show, especially some characters like Yuri and Rang but hated the hypocrisy show that says one thing and does something else.

that he does everything right, but he doesn't and they have barely addressed it as properly especially with how many unhinged stuff that clearly would be against their "laws"but they only call other characters flaw out it hinders Yeon's development a lot even in season 2.

I really didn't like the series logic because there's too much of that didn't make sense ebut I still enjoyed characters. You don't ahevto force yourself to enjoy everything about the show to appreciate characters. I do like Yeon but I think the show did him dirty by trying to show-

I think being a Good especially you tend to make a lot more mistakes especially in delicate human situation. I didn't notice it right away but I do think that the writers are to be blamed for uplifting Yeon as that. There's too much said and done and contradicts

Tbh I do agree with that person then. In the show there were too many contradictions. I mean it's not noticeable right away but I get it really because there were too much of Yeon's side that seemed really dumb and the rules as well. Of course I understand a person cannot be without flaw and-

I'm happy to see someone else also connect Rang's and Claudia's parallels. My top deserved better than the main characters.
