With all the kerfuffle going on, I wanted to clearly state that Dark Bunny Sauces is proudly Canadian.

Our products are made in Canada. I cannot claim them to be a "Product of Canada" because though I do my best to select ingredients local, unfortunately I cannot always have that happen.

So our friend, Flaming Rabbit Hot Sauces, recently shared a recipe with us.
Quite happy with the result! Not our usual BBQ sauce. Kraken rum and Ontario peaches were used for ours.

And this is why I don't often share images of test batches, or processes in general.
This is Test Batch 85b - the 2nd try at a brown sauce. Completely different recipe. Currently half way through the 1st boil stage.

Found this while cleaning up. probably unsuitable to eat as it's been YEARS since it was canned, but this is what led to the Burning Bunny and all the sauces we make.

Second on the Sauce Spotlight: Burning Bunny
This was the first sauce, though it went through changes at the beginning. Jalapeno, green pepper, onion and garlic... a very simple and not too hot sauce. It even currently has a limited edition fermented variant!

Oh! And forgot to mention!
Just before Canfurence we got a little ... creative (as happens) and some limited edition fermented versions of our first three sauces were made: Burning Bunny, Perilous Phoenix and Boiling Bluejay.

Well, some folks seem interested in me remaking this monstrosity of a dry rub. It was the crowning achievement from the panel at Canfurence 2023 (And I have yet to write down all that went into it). I can only guess at the measures because it was a "If we pass $2 in donations we dump it all in!"
