A timeskip would destroy both of them. Seoan won't cope that well for that long without Wonwon. And Wonwon, how will he feel once he comes back to the apartment and finds it empty? I am really hoping that Wonwon call Seoan beforehand

Seoan's condition has worsened due to Wonwon's absence. They were discussing details for his departure, so I guess he is leaving for USA. Wonwkn has just decided that it is time and he is ready to.come back as he is constantly thinking of Seoan. It would be just too much is they miss each other!
