It’s better to soak the strings in denatured alcohol / methylated spirits. It dissolves fat and grease and dislodges dirt. You can do it 2 to 3 times. The strings last longer and sound better.

invasion day is a day of mourning and sorrow for me. It has deep resonance with my own family history with British colonialism.

We need to move forward to heal together. I acknowledge the past atrocities of British colonialism. This needs to be discussed, recognised. At least make a start talking about it. We need a treaty. Not dealing with these issues hurts us all.

This is actually real. It feels like a nightmare that from which will never end.
