A couple of decades ago we slipped on the slippery slope into Runaway Climate Change, and now there’s nothing humanity can do that will bring us back.

There’s a reason we’re no longer following the Kyoto Logic of trying to limit emissions of greenhouse gases. Copenhagen Logic now applies: Limit your own emissions if you really feel like it, no pressure. Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.

If only the public understood what Brazil’s agribusiness, the “ruralistas”, really stands for: profits for the elite, industrial-scale farming that crushes small farmers, destroys the environment, and serves exports over people.

Sometimes, No News Equals Good News ...

And with fresh August satellite data added to the s-sheets, Antarctica is now slated to lose *0 cm* thickness in 2025. Greenland is still at 4 cm.
Source is GRACE-FO via NASA, 2025 estimates with 4 more months to go.

New data since August have pushed the 2025 estimate down again, such that now 2025 looks like only the 2nd biggest loser of the 2020s decade.

Latest satellite data indicate a loss of 1492 km3 during 2025, 2nd highest this decade. Daily loss is now 2.9 Gt/day for the polar areas.

Turns out the ‘No Decline’ was the Biggest Decline on Record since records began. Which is not just the opposite of what Schellenberger claimed, but the biggest decline in the satellite era. It’s declining faster since 2000 than it did before 2000.
