Exactly. Where are you @thedemcoalition.bsky.social @housedemocrats.bsky.social @kenmartin.bsky.social (War Room man) @schumer.senate.gov @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social ???

Show you have the balls to stand up to a senile bigot and defend a US citizen. This should be immediate and automatic.

FYI that a good way to #ResistTrump would be to come out loudly and and strongly in support of @ilhanmn.bsky.social.

Because it's not just the media who are failing us right now. It's The Democratic Coalition, especially those who are leaders in Congress.

Us normal people want action.

Back in April, @kenmartin.bsky.social announced a War Room that was supposed to be for helping Dems respond to things like this.

We haven't heard a peep about this War Room since his announcement.

I take every opportunity I can to ask Mr. Martin about the War Room. Hope others can do so also.

Great idea. I've had measles; it's horrible. I saw my dad deal with shingles; perhaps worse than measles.

The vaccinations are truly no big deal. To lose weight, people will give themselves shots all the time, which highlights that it's no big deal.

So yes, show how awful the diseases are.

I suspect the hug strategy explains the disconnect between Dem leaders in congress, and their consultants, and everyone else. Us regular people see quite clearly that the strategy violates human nature and therefore doesn't work, nor will it ever.

I liked everything you wrote. Seems to me that the hug strategy has been the primary Dem approach for 30 years, and it's never worked. Not even once. But they still keep doing it. Yet anyone with common sense understands that it doesn't work because it's not how people operate.

I don't understand why we need 50 separate DMVs. Why not one national one? Would save a lot of money and hassle, and the requirements could all be aligned.

You can just use your passport. The Real ID requirement has been on the books for something like 20 years but implementation kept getting deferred as States and citizens get updated IDs.

Lots to be upset about these days, but this is not one of them IMO.

It's stupid and ineffective. Make America great again is a simple, clear call to action. Strong floor, no ceiling? Abstract and metaphorical in a WTF does that mean kind of way. Evokes no emotion beyond a "huh?". Republicans do better slogans because they understand this kind of thing.

It's so easy to ignore the AI box in Duck Duck Go. Not a big deal IMO

It's easier said than done considering that individuals and businesses pay taxes directly to the Federal government. But @carmitage.bsky.social has talked about ways that states might be able to do it.

Their punishment should be that they need to carry out their plan: Put them on a boat near the island and send them on their way.

I'm guessing there was a lot of masturbation.

This goes against human nature somehow—a need to look up to a heroic leader who solves all problems. But those leaders are never perfect superheros. So, I'm glad Mamdani cannot be president. He's a talented politician and I hope he does wonderful things that have nothing to do with being president.

One of the things I hate most about political life in the US is the idolization of the presidency (and similarly, the idolization of mayors and governors). This leads to many ills, and is non constitutional and anti-democracy. Congress, not the president, is at the top of the US org chart.

This was really helpful, thank you.

I'm cautious about timing the market and selling stocks because I've been wrong so often (expected a massive economic catastrophe months ago, for example) and seen others be wrong so often. But this really has me thinking, and wondering if we are at peak AI and peak chip.

So true. The other reward is that when you are healthy, you feel healthy and can enjoy life more.

Could we all agree that instead of ever using Trump's name again, we only refer to him as Piggy?
