Yep, I've learned that when I'm not writing, it's because I'm growing in some small way, leading to a realization that will suit and improve the story. Took a while to learn to trust that, but it works.

I've never subscribed to the idea that you must put down garbage words every day. If nothing is on the line, there's nothing to achieve.

Oh, authors too, I think. The volume of re-presenting information that readers may have forgotten from a prequel without being repetitive and uninteresting is tiring!

Loose trilogies are a lot of fun. So much less rigid than a direct series (I'm finally learning as a mid-career author)!
