Tried playing Fire Emblem Heroes the other day and wow, that game is not fucking fun at all anymore, which is a real shame because I really enjoyed it when it first came out. But, reading an absolute novel of text for every new ability and then enemies teleporting all the time just kills it for me.

I can’t help but feel like we’re seeing more and more Fomori influence. Especially looking at the torso design on the tokens and head design on Master’s Manufactory.

I really fuck with the entire Big Score showcase style. Gorgeous pieces with a very simple yet pleasing border treatment.

At one point I even tried my own hand at drawing. I had an old Wacom tablet that my dad gave me from his work when they were getting rid of some of them. I drew this piece of Dar’kran as a Red Lantern as part of a trend with some other WoW artists on Tumblr.

I unfortunately cannot recall or find who did this piece, but I was very impressed with it overall. Isei-Silva’s armor design really stood out to me and I was incredibly happy with how this artist interpreted it in motion.

This piece was done by Isei-Silva (isei-silva.tumblr.com). I adore their art style and had been eyeing them for a commission for ages. I was so excited to commission them back then and was so impressed with their interpretation of Lyonus and his obsession with the Arcane and Blue Dragonflight.

This piece of Dar’kran was one of my favorites and was done by @karniz.bsky.social circa 2014. I was a broke college kid but so ingrained in the RP scene so I spent my Christmas money on this commission and was blown away by the work.

Back when I played and RP’d in World of Warcraft regularly, I had gotten art commissions of my two main characters. Dar’kran, a Zandalari Troll Warrior, and Lyonus Blacksun, a Blood Elf Mage. It was a pretty fun time and I often miss the RP scene.

Can’t help but feel like the new sol ring reminds me of the masterpiece version as well. Good art direction for sure!

I still maintain that they should’ve stuck with Jace being the last remnant of Phyrexia in the multiverse, his potential as a villain is immense. Plus, this alternate art by Chris Rallis really leans into the idea that they were gonna go that direction too for a while.
