Anybody in Cassidy’s state? Ask him, preferably in public, whether Sect. Kennedy made his assurances he would not oppose vaccination under oath.

Local media is reporting this as a drug dispute, rather than a Fox inspired murder.

Many of the people living in this encampment are Native Americans.
Local American Indian Movement leaders are asking for land to be returned to build housing. Maybe we should get behind that?

Updating flood zone maps has met many of the same obstacles. While you are very right about the value of human life, action will be more likely if society is willing to share the cost of saving those lives, instead of bankrupting whoever is currently holding the bag.

It sounds like forecast was “possible rain” whenpeople turned in for the night, probably didn’t sound bad enough that anyone would have pulled an all nighter listening to the radio. An alarm on site triggered by a radio emergency signal or directly by flooding might have been helpful.

This is news? I would have expected anyone literate in conservative religious culture to have known this for about 50 years.

I don’t see the House judiciary moving quickly on HJR 29…. They may be bright enough to realize that it allows ALL of the living ex-Presidents to run again.

Do you have time to write an explainer for the PACT act and its impact on patient load?

True, but it happened in 2021, and didn’t stop him from getting re-elected.

The one good thing about the Democrats is they have enough votes to win in good years. Blue splinter parties tend to siphon more votes away from the big blue party than they attract away from the red party, resulting in election losses for both. Stay with us and support primary challengers.

The Tate brothers are despicable, but the Romanians have not managed to bring them to trial over two years after the initial arrests. A position that US intervention when citizens are detained without trial should depend on their popularity is highly problematic…

It says something about this timeline that I immediately googled moon cheese to see if you were literally serious. Apparently, moon cheese is a thing, although I did not uncover direct evidence linking it to the President.

How ironic that we are discussing this on Blue Sky, which doesn’t really have a “private” setting. You can start a chat with a small group of friends, but that sounds like a telephone game nightmare where all the “information” is 8th hand rumors with no verifiable source…

Not new news, has been a consistent pattern since 2016, but it won’t work on everyone. Senator McConnell, for instance, has already stepped back from leadership positions on account of ill health, and is not expected to run for re-election in 2026. He voted against the Hegseth nomination.
