There's more to this but this thread is long enough. If you want more context, feel free to message me or join my Discord and I'll be happy to discuss it. All the best to my friends and colleagues in the creator space, and thank you to the folks who supported me over the years.

No more schedules, no more promises, no goals or expectations. Until I know that I am FOR SURE 100% ready to return, I'm just doing things for fun and casually.

So here's what my plan is: I will stream if and when I'm feeling it, for fun and to play the games I know I'll enjoy. That might mean one stream in a month, or several. This isn't me quitting, just stepping back from doing it for the 'sake of content'

I fell into a trap, a belief that all I needed was a little break to recharge and then I'd come back strong. I've been doing this on repeat since 2018. I come back at maybe 25% and then hit 0% again in no time. I can't keep doing this.

I stopped creating things for the fun of it, for me and not for the 'sake of content'. I read a post by my friend juicenoose recently and it resonated with me hard. The reality is, I miss creating things for the fuck of it.

I have pondered much since my peak in 2017 about what lead to such a decline of my channel viewership, or why it felt like that core community I built began to fade, but I think I realized that what it really comes down to is that I lost that spark of creativity.

When I moved to Twitch, I did so because it was a space I could share my love and passion for building in Minecraft and hoped to build a community on my defunct MC Server. Most of my early years were about enjoying the journey, sharing experiences, meeting new people.

2007 when I started on YouTube, I did so because I loved seeing the creative passion and stories people we telling with stop motion animation. I didn't go into it with any belief that I would be 'successful' or make any money doing it.
