Can’t believe my luck this migration year. So many fun visitors to my backyard. My bird bath is the key. Today the black throated blue warbler stopped by for a bath and a snack. I was able to sneak outside and get a few fun pictures before he moved on. #birds #🪶

Geeked out today and drove 35 minutes to go see the brown booby. Fun to hang out on a bridge with other excited birders checking out this unicorn. Best part of birding is meeting such nice, generous people. Reminds you that there is a lot of good left in the world. #🪶 # birds

Came home to a quiet yard and then I saw this sly Cooper’s hawk hanging around like he owns the place. I guess he won the turf war with the red shouldered juveniles from earlier this summer. Let’s hope my beautiful songbirds outsmart it. #birds #🪶

It took a lot of crappy photos and many different attempts to sneak close enough to get a photo of this beautiful male goldfinch without alerting him to my presence. Finally I saw him outside my kitchen window, inched my way out the back door and snapped the photo I was hoping for. #birds #🪶
