Our semi-feral cat friends are interested in whatever I’m interested in, and today it was a sleepy bee who needed a snack. The bee flew off safely shortly after! 🤣🤦♀️

Today’s yard sightings included not one but TWO DeKay’s brown snakes! I’m always excited to see a snake, and two is just an abundance of riches.

We trimmed some branches today and our feral cats are having a great time chasing each other through them on the ground. This is Braver, the friendliest of the three!

Now seems like a fine time to introduce folks to a holiday I invented a couple of years ago called Monday Again.
The important thing about Monday Again is that it isn’t a complaint or a celebration, merely a statement of temporal fact.

I care for three feral cats who arrived as kittens last summer. Two I can pet, but Small Orange remains aloof, so it’s hard to do his flea treatments.
Today we tried a new game as a bonding exercise, and I think it worked! He’s never leaned against me like this before.

I was debating whether this image was working, and my husband commented that his dad would have really liked it. Charlie was one of the biggest supporters of my art, and I do think he would have liked this one!
