It is finished! I made a few tiny mistakes, but I’m very pleased with the end result. It’s so cute!

All kinds of little packages and cakes made. On to the tables after a short break.

After months of seeing those cute miniature house kits, I decided to give one a try. I was worried the shakes from the nerve damage would make working with such tiny items a problem, but it’s been a blast to put together so far! 😄

I’ve been enjoying this new reading app, though it‘s made me realize just how slow a reader (as in pages per hour) I am at times. Thanks dyslexia. 🤪

Looks like they started on another one in the meantime. 🦫

Seven months later the little bugger came back to finish what they started… with one hell of a crash!

I’ve recently learned that it is possible to fumble your attempt to catch a wooden cutting board to the point where you flip it up and crack yourself on the temple with the corner and that the local ER is actually pretty nice.

Bad headache today. So I’ve retreated to the quiet of the three-seasons room to pick away at what will eventually be a cocoon cardigan. 🧶

Me: “Ooo, they’ve rerelease ‘The History of Middle-earth’ in beautiful hardcovers!”

Matt: “I give you six months before you break down and order them.”

It’s been over ten months since we’ve moved into this house, which means… it’s painting time! We’re starting with the finished room in the basement. So far the first coat of half the room is done.

I’ve been spending some time lately as a hobbit in the not-quite-a-village village of Bywater. It’s a nice place, but I’m beginning to wonder what I’ve signed up for. Having the Shire’s Assessor get knocked unconscious by a fake wolf’s head in front of you is just part of country life, I guess.

An image drawn up for a project at work. We’ve decided to go with a slightly different version, but I still like how this one came out and wanted to share. The town’s mascot is a rooster, which is why I’ve been drawing so many of them lately.

This always comes to my mind whenever I read about someone using a quarterstaff. 🤣

The cat rushed at the squirrels, then all hell broke loose. The squirrels made it up the tree (Yay!) and the doe began snorting and stomping her towards the cat. She cased the cat off and slowly followed after, stomping and sorting the whole time. She was not having it with that cat.

Everything was fine until she spotted the neighbor’s cat… which was in the process of stalking the squirrels.

The bag has been sitting out for about a week now and no critter has touched it. Until this daredevil. 🤣 Rock on, little one! #photography #backyardWildlife
