I paid a designer to do a thing for me, and the biggest value I got out of the transaction was the nice feedback on my concept (paraphrasing) “That won’t work so here’s a better idea”.

Having someone to critique the thinking to make a better thing was worth the €€.

Also: Omnibus procedure is only supposed to be used by the Commission for minor tinkering to improve internal alignment between EU laws. Not wholesale rewriting of them.

Day 2: Note saying room comped for rest of stay.

Went back to the same hotel 2 years later. GM recognised me. Told me room had a socket beside the bed and thanked me for pointing it out.
