I seriously can't believe people are happy to support "millionaire pharma boss Gareth Sheridan" in his bid for the Áras. Seriously? We want somebody representing our country abroad who's only characteristic is that he's a millionaire and a pharma boss?

Convinced it's all a big ad for his company.

With 75% of boxes tallied in Cavan Monaghan, Sinn Féin’s Matt Carthy leads with 15.28%, on track to retain his seat. Niamh Smyth (FF) is second at 9.33%, while Cathy Bennett (SF) is third at 9.09%. Brendan Smith (FF) is in eighth at 7.02%. Surplus votes will be key. #GE24

With 40% of boxes tallied in Donegal, Sinn Féin’s Padraig Mac Lochlainn leads with 24%, followed by Pearse Doherty at 19.5%. Charlie McConalogue (FF) is polling at 17%, while Charles Ward (12%) and Fine Gael’s duo (8%) trail. Sinn Féin leads with 47% of the vote so far. #GE24

All boxes are open in Carlow-Kilkenny, with almost 55% tallied. A first tally count is expected after 2pm. Most tallies are from Carlow, with some from Kilkenny City. Green Party's Minister Malcolm Noonan is at risk with just 3% of first preferences, though he may benefit from transfers.
