I tried to grow one like this, and spectacularly failed! I assumed it would want a dry, sunny spot, but that virtually killed it. Can I ask what conditions yours seems to like? Because it looks STUNNING, so whatever you're doing must be working!

Ooh great find! I had them on my cherry tree last year - I've been keeping an eye out but it seems they might not be making an appearance this year. They're such fun/weird-looking things.

I have things like that in my garden too - every so often I need to get in with a bit of brute force and show them who's boss 😂 (I'm looking at you, river lilies!!)
