Thank you for posting these comments. What Trump is doing is indefensible. I hope the Venezuelans can take back control of their country soon. That can only happen with concerted international pressure. We all need to speak out against this outrage.

It does seem suspicious that all of the Democrats that voted for cloture are either not up for reelection in 2026 or are retiring. They could afford to take the heat while Schumer piously decries the bill.

They were awful to him, but he should have dropped out much sooner. Harris was set up for failure with so little time before the election, and Biden seemed too frail for another term, never mind his mental acuity.
