If you are curious on how I ride with the pups, this is what I use. I used to do a leash but the spring takes a lot of pulling on the bike. This is all approved by my Vet. Never do this until the dog is fully grown at 16 months old! There have been rabbits and I fell a little tug.

I have a spring loaded tube with a short leash. Dhani is perfect but Enzo still wants to lead. I trained Dhani on just holding a leash. This is much safer for both

Enzo is 2.5 and Dhani is 10.5. This is how he keeps Dhani young. Best buds (Dhani is a female). If you ever question getting a younger pup for an older pup just do it!

Enzo is a 2.5 yo male golden and he will be testing the next couple weeks to be a therapy dog at a hospital near Boulder,CO. His bigger sister is Dhani and she was a therapy dog a few years ago and she is 10.5 yo. They are best buds.
