But the way US politics works is, if white people get upset about something loud enough, long enough, it is deemed a problem to be solved, whether or not any evidence shows up. This is key: their complaining, in & of itself, becomes the evidence that there's a problem. It's a closed loop.

I agree. I just think it's completely misleading that people post only the consultant speak nonsense and pretend he didn't call for a two state solution, when he clearly did. I guess that approach generates a ton of engagement here though.
