so tonight i think i'll throw on my track pants, eat some pepperoni, maybe drink some dope flavored rum, and do a TPB marathon in his honor.🙏

be good up there, Lou. i'll be seeing ya. love you, brother.🍻

he carried a darkness within him, but you would never know it being around him. he lit up every room he was in and was the life of every party. he would do and say outrageous things just to get a laugh. pretty sure Ricky from Trailer Park Boys was his spirit animal. "chips and smokes, let's go."😂

a haunting movie about loss and survival. just a brutal reminder of how unfair life can be. it was perfect, and i loved it. and i've never been able to watch it again since.

he was also a movie buff. a few days before he passed, the movie The Revenant was released. he really wanted to see it. i told him he looked a little like Tom Hardy, from the trailer. the day after his funeral, my brothers took me to see it. nobody said a word on the drive up. we were all hurting.

sports and music. that's how I was able to go on. the bands we saw a dozen times singing songs i heard 100 times had new meaning. their despair became mine. they became the authors to my specific pain. their words rang true when he was here, and even moreso after he passed.

and 4 months later it came full circle (as it always does for Cleveland) when the Indians blew a 3-1 lead in the World Series. the most drama filled 4 months in Cleveland sports memory. good/bad, a welcome distraction from the giant void in my life. tears of loss/joy. sports helped me survive 2016.

10 days after he died, the Cavs hired Tyronn (Ty) Lue (Lou was his nickname) to be their new HC. i was at his mom's when i saw it come across the ticker. i looked at her and said "that's it, we're winning it all." and against all odds, down 3-1 to the 73 win Warriors, they did.

God, i love sports.

he loved the Cleveland Browns. he loved ALL Cleveland/Ohio sports... but he fucking LOVED the Cleveland Browns. like me. that was the tie that bound us. to know he never got to see Myles Garrett, Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb or Denzel Ward ball out for his favorite team. that will forever make me sad.

i listened to pop punk/alternative, he listened to death/doom metal. we both appreciated songs that went hard for 2 mins. I always thought i would go first, and this would be my parting song to him. roles reversed, it still hits hard.🤘

only 30 years old. so much life left to live. 2 young daughters left without a dad. he was so freaking loved. devastating isn't a strong enough word. 10 years later and it still cuts like a blade.

today is going to suck. but i will do what i can to honor his memory. love you forever, little bro.🙏❤️

had a winning record his first 4 years (37-30) when he had a legitimate QB (Mayfield, Brissett, old slow Flacco). struggled to win he the last 2 years with DTR, Jameis, PJ Walker, older slower Flacco, and 2 mid round rookies who were QB3 and QB4 heading into the season (they traded QB1 and QB2).
