Beginner artist. Here to post and chill.

Most of my art for now is going to be studies and redraws for other art.
Isn't that good practice though? Getting the general shapes ad form first, then once that's good, doing the details is recommended from every good artist I've seen.

You build a foundation, and make sure it's good before moving on. The foundation I see here is rock solid!

Get ready for me to start tagging you with my redraws of your pieces that I like! You cannot stop me!

I'm proud of you for not overloading yourself.

When I feel behind, I burn myself out even more and it never helps.

Take care of yourself a bit for this internet stranger. (or don't, I can't tell you what to do!)

Damn, I wish I could go Medici for your work.

Sadly, I'm sorta in the same boat.

I just discovered you a few weeks ago, and you make really good stuff. You made all this cool shit, it's not nothing! I'm so sorry to hear someone stiffed you.

You make seriously good art. Yeah, that's upsetting to hear, but we know they're wrong.

I've recently stopped engaging with "bad faith" people.

If the person I'm talking to isn't interested in seeing me as a person, I leave them on 'read'.

Unfortunately I have to do this to family a lot.

Well, someone across the void remembers. It must be so hard watching someone destroy themselves.

I'm so sorry about this, I don't have a ton of helpful words.

Someone out there knows you tried your best to help, even if it didn't work out.

Yeah, doing my first shaded work, I realized I was picking WAY too vibrant colors at first. More grey? Always more grey!

Neat, I'll keep that in mind when I get to that!

I really like that idea of keeping it simple to only 2-3 values. I'm just getting started, so I have a lot of 'bad' art to make!

The pose, the perspective, and the appearance of motion are all wonderful! I especially like the subtle white outline.

If I could make something like this by next year, I'd be ecstatic! Or, if I could even get close on all these fundamentals I'd be happy.

I love your backgrounds and composition! I think my absolute favorite is your use of colors, saving vibrancy to make a statement!

As a beginner artist, how did you get started doing these lovely pieces?
