Let me know if/when I can be of assistance and I'd love to read your work!

Thanks! I will definitely check these out. Sounds like a fun genre all around. The world is so grim these days that a more lighthearted escape might be just what I need :D

Thanks for the suggestions! Will definitely check out Mark Forsyth, and Save The Cat is just great. That beat sheet helps me out whenever I need to plan a new project :D

Also, I have severe ADHD so that sounds right up my alley :D

Oh cool, definitely let me know if you're ever looking for beta readers! I've been interested in cozy fantasy for a while, but I haven't actually picked up any books in the genre. Anything you can recommend?

Interesting, I hadn't considered that. I'll look into it!

Sounds cool! Good luck to you, hope you have a great weekend!

Definitely, tasks tend to expand to fill the available time, and if the available time is indefinite it's very easy to never finish.

That sounds very interesting, I've been curious about that genre!

I haven't but that sounds pretty cool! I really like collaborative storytelling like that :D

Honestly, I do fine with the generating of new words, but editing tends to be really slow for me. Oftentimes I get overwhelmed by how much needs changing and then I end up spending my entire day editing a single chapter :( Ideally I'd like to write 4 books a year, but I'm closer to 2 atm.

Sounds really cool Sin! What kind of roleplaying games do you play? I've been a huge Dnd-nerd for quite a while haha

Oh that's great, congratulations!
Personally, I'm leaning towards self publishing (I've always been a DIY kind of person), but I want to have the entire trilogy finished and edited before I make a final decision. I am still struggling to write as quickly as I would like.

Sounds really cool! Is the book set in the 1500's more of a historical fiction or a fantasy type setting?
January 4, 2024 at 11:19 AM
Sounds like you've got some nice momentum going :D Have you published any of your works yet, or are you planning to?

I love Discworld! My epic fantasy has some Witcher-esque elements in a setting kind of like Pirates of the Caribbean.

Nice sounds cool! What is the urban fantasy novel about? :D
