You don’t know these other newspapers, they go to another school etc

I do wonder, given the rise of algorithmic feeds that are effectively decisions about what receives prominence, how long the idea they aren’t publishers can be sustained anyway

There is a part of me that feels a useful principle for this sort of thing might be “if you don’t take the trouble to write it yourself, no-one else needs to take the trouble to read it”, though I accept I may not have thought this through fully

My phone constantly corrects my son’s name to Jqcob for precisely this reason and I have no idea how to fix it. I’ve probably made it worse now

Or we could go for fiscal quicksand if we want to keep the things-beloved-in-fiction-for-pre-teens vibe

I’ve had similar thoughts about board games - my children are much happier (and we have a nicer time too) playing co-op board games and I do wonder how much these sorts of things provide formative experiences around what sort of behaviour and outcomes are possible in the world

I think this is a view in which you can substitute an awful lot of things for “policing” and come up with a correct statement

I would visit all the places that successfully won funding to remove chewing gum from their high streets

I don’t why, I just looked at it for a few seconds and now it’s burned on my brain forever

I mean this feels quite simple: is it a thing with a purpose to prime something? In what world does one prim oneself on a subject?

Similarly no one under the age of 35 should be called Keith which raises the question what can they be called inbetween?

My local northern chippy has an extensive vegan menu and a developing sideline in poke bowls following the owner’s successful appearance on Faking It as a sushi chef. If it’s not middle class fast food (tongue firmly in cheek) I don’t know what is

I have read about it but not seen - will have to track it down

Currently in series 5 of an ER rewatch so I am rooting for her to go far so she gets a break from Dr Romano

Relatedly I always enjoyed the score explanation in Edge of
10=10
9=9
8=8
and so on

For someone raised on Mega Machines and the like in which anything less than 80% meant a stone cold failure which should never have seen the light of day it was curiously liberating
