Since 1980, our standard license plate format in California has been 1AAA111. We are currently at 9 in the front and will run out of these plates in 2026. I have been thinking about this for years and assumed they would go to the format A111AAA which provides far more possibilities. 1/2

I just learned of the passing of Roberta Flack. She is my all-time favorite female singer. What an amazingly beautiful voice. So many great songs - both solo and duets with Donny Hathaway.
