Albuquerque in October is special.
I learned to listen away from people, in the top of our frontyard tree, looking out at the orange groves while mom was still at work.
It was about just sitting, not responding, except to turn toward the sparrows, focus, and listen harder.
I listened to the sunflowers last night.
