⚠️ This is not a PD-specific! We replicated the results in a large dataset of cognitively healthy individuals (N=60,398).

Our takeaway ➡️ Time to shift our perspective! Let's view cognition as a complex network of interrelated functions instead of a modular system of distinct cognitive domains 🧠

🔎In a network of cognitive test scores from 698 individuals with PD, scores from the same paradigm were strongly associated
🔎This suggests redundancy in the data, biasing empirical cognitive domain categorization
🔎After removing redundancy, scores were best represented by a unidimensional structure
