Why do you think they tried so hard to shut down all of the emulators out there? They weren't protecting the Switch 1 sales, but the Switch 2. We will probably see Switch 2 emulation in a month, but whether or not people are too afraid to publicly release it is the question.

Hopefully Nintendo notices Bluesky. The only reason they took Twitter off is because after Musk took over, they were trying to charge up to something like $40k a MONTH. I don't have sources though so don't take my word as gospel. All I know is it was expensive, and that's why it got taken away. :/

Someone has got to prioritize making a mod for that once this comes out.

Those are free upgrades without NSO. 👍

That sucks. At least they're not using a proprietary type like Sony tried with the PS Vita. It means Nintendo is serious about performance and loading times this time around, but not at the cost of forcing us to buy their own storage options, which is a good thing imo.

My guess is that it's the same exact architecture as Switch 1 but with more power, so devs should have an easy time upgrading.

My feelings are this: if my company wants to pay some Google or MS for their suite of software and make me use it, I will happily do so, as it’s their choice. But for me, I’m tired of giving my data and money to greedy corporations. The trade-off of open source shortcomings for peace of mind.

Good on you. The amount of times my neighbor has asked me, "did you see {thing} on your security camera?" and me having to reply saying I don't record anything but my own driveway. I don't record my neighborhood and I wouldn't want anyone else doing so either.
