My dad was a colonel in the Air Force Reserve, and I’ve seen his service, dedication, and leadership throughout my life.

This Veterans Day, I’m grateful for my dad and the lessons he taught me — and for all those who serve our country in uniform.

Happy Halloween! If a black cat crosses your path today, I hope it’s as cute as Cuddles. 🐈‍⬛

Ever wondered how to explain tariffs to Gen Z? I recently laid it out for Gov. Beshear (and his teenagers) — just in time for Oregon to take our tariffs case to the Supreme Court on November 5.

What topic should we translate next?!

Go to law school, they said. You’ll have job security, they said. I never expected to use my law degree to file so many lawsuits against the president… but you’ve gotta follow the law, whoever you are.

I was truly touched to receive a declaration of support from the Democratic Party of Washington Co. When I ran for AG, I never expected to sue the president so many times… yet we have to uphold the Constitution, and we have to uphold Oregon‘s laws and values. Grateful for the statement of support.

We are seeing the dangerous weaponization of our criminal justice system — from Comey to AG James in NY.

We have a president who leads through fear. But we need to bring people together. I’m grateful to the local organizers across our state who are doing this important work.

Great to be with the Washington County Democrats at their Neuberger Dinner last night!

As Democrats, we must not solely be defined by what we reject — we must build a lasting identity around our shared vision of what we offer.

Hey @jimmykimmellive.bsky.social — the only thing hellish in Portland is afternoon meetings without a second cup of coffee. Luckily, we’ve got that covered too… so there’s *really* nothing for the president to worry about.

I know a workaround when I see one (I have a teenager!). The president can’t just keep trying to be creative to get what he wants. It doesn’t work with me as a dad, and it won’t work with me as Attorney General. There’s no place for the U.S. military in our cities.

ICYMI: Today, the Oregon Dept. of Justice is in court — our team is laying out the facts on our motion to pause the president’s unlawful order to federalize and deploy the National Guard in Oregon.

Big thanks to the Northwest Oregon Labor Council for having me at the Labor Day picnic!

We are stronger together as we work towards our vision of what this state and country could be: a place where every worker has dignity and every community has opportunity.

Today is Adam’s 14th birthday, and we saw Weird Al Yankovic in Eugene last week to celebrate! How do you like my Polka Face? I love Rocky Road — and we’ll have some with birthday cake to celebrate.

Some of the coverage from our news conference yesterday announcing our lawsuit against the Trump administration - over federal funding cuts to services for victims of crime across the state. #VOCA

We recently sat down with the Willamette Law Review to talk about our work protecting Oregon priorities and upholding Oregon law. It's always great to be back on campus and connect with the next generation of legal minds in our state! #orpol

Our Appellate Division works tirelessly for Oregonians— so when they have a potluck on a nice summer day outside, you can bet I am crashing it!

Huge thanks to the 200+ people who came out to our Salem town hall last night — and to the DOJ team for making it happen!

Next up: southern Oregon town hall. Follow @agdanrayfield.bsky.social for details coming soon.

It’s been 6 months since I was sworn in as Oregon’s 18th attorney general.

One of my favorite roles is being a dad. My son Adam and I have had some incredible adventures over the years — from hiking to traveling to baseball games — and somehow he hasn’t gotten sick of my dad jokes yet (or has he??).

Happy Father’s Day to everyone!

Great to see so many friends at the Wayne Morse dinner last night! Also great: finally correcting the height “illusion” between @tobiasread.bsky.social and myself.

#tbt to Monday’s west coast AGs town hall in Seattle, when I fueled up with my favorite sandwich (peanut butter, obviously) before the big event!

If you’re wondering what the day after a big tariffs decision is like… today we read through dozens of messages from Oregonians, talked with 11 media outlets (from Oregon to Australia), and our team is already working on the briefs that will be the next steps in the tariff lawsuit process. Onwards 💪

Earlier this week at the US Court of International Trade in NY, we presented our case for why President Trump’s tariffs are illegal and harmful for Oregonians.

Huge thanks to the ODOJ team for spending hours preparing over the past few weeks —you did Oregon proud! 👏
