Nice visit at Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. The buoy, from Alaska, was used to track tsunamis...until it broke its tether in a tsunami. So much to see, we only saw a fraction of exhibits.

I'm guessing next weekend will be last at Little Switzerland. A typical 100 day SE Wisconsin season. 24/25 season definitely better than last season. M is growing fond of the parks and rope. Already looking forward to next season!

Just sold this beauty on Marketplace. It served my wife well for many years. Now she has a new bike. In the process, I got a chance to educate new owner about bikeindex.org
It is a great tool to prove ownership if your bike gets lost, or stolen. The PD's in the Milwaukee area promote its use.

Today: Estabrook Falls just can't seem to freeze up, even when rest of Milwaukee River is solid.
Also, M's favorite find: USGS river gauge on Milwaukee River in Estabrook park...just more needless taxpayer spending that isn't used to inform local villagers when river is about to breach banks.

Had a great time in above average ski conditions at the Midwest Telefest 2025 in the Porcupine Mountains. Pictured here is Susan and M (not tele skiers, but happy to ski the UP pow nonetheless).
