Dangerous dirt bikes and stunt driving in San Francisco have been tolerated for too long.

Today I stood alongside Mayor Lurie and law enforcement leaders to announce a major operation that seized 6 dirt bikes and resulted in 4 arrests.

Union Square is perfect tonight! Great weather and a few thousand people out for a showing of Big Hero 6.

If you missed it, the next Cinema on the Square is October 4th - The Birds!

🙌 We're making progress on our recovery across Union Square and Downtown! It's good to see recognition of more openings, events, and projects underway.

Our focus has been on clean and safe streets + lowering barriers to small businesses opening... And it's working.

Our Downtown Town Hall last week was a great opportunity to hear directly what's getting better and what more needs to be done.

Downtown is critical to our city budget, our city's image on a global stage, and everyday experiences for nearly a million workers and residents.

Out early with the new Neighborhood Street Team in Lower Nob Hill.

For the first time, the City has consolidated teams across five city departments:

Dept. Public Health
Homelessness and Supportive Housing
Emergency Management
Police
Fire

This is exactly the type of coordination we need more of!

We're making it easier to open and run a small business in San Francisco!

✅ The Board and Mayor just teamed up to unanimously pass 7 pieces of legislation that will have concrete results in saving our small business owners money, time, and hassle.

Al Pastor Papi is officially open in Union Square! 🌮🍍

Go by ASAP for delicious tacos ‼️

Thanks to Vacant to Vibrant and SF New Deal for your hard work to make this opening possible.

Our Van Ness Ave legislation - led by Supervisor Sherrill - reformed permitting to fill vacancies along this major corridor.

It's already working! 🍿

A new movie theater, Apple Cinemas, will move through permitting in a matter of weeks instead of what used to be a 6-8 month process!

🏳️‍🌈 A beautiful day for Pride!

This is always one of my favorite days, seeing our city come out and show up loud and proud. We flooded Market St. with joy, unity, and community and plenty of protest and resistance, too.

In this moment, we needed today more than ever.

🏳️‍🌈 Happy Pride, San Francisco!

🌳🪻 As we wrap up this first phase of North Beach Green, I'm excited to share some early impact:

🌲 33 new trees planted!
🌻 22 new sidewalk gardens planted!
♻️ 1,143 square feet of concrete removed

Sprucing the neighborhood up, block by block. Thanks to all our partners!

Introducing "Block by Block," our new series where we highlight some of the small wins our office has secured to make things better across every neighborhood in District 3.

✅ First up: a quick fix to an unsafe, uneven sidewalk in front of Waystone Wine Bar in North Beach!

Across California and our country, we have seen the full scale of the cruelty and chaos of this presidential administration on display in the past week.

Let me be clear: The ICE raids of the past week targeting immigrant children and families do not make our city or country safer.

🇮🇹 Italy and San Francisco continue to strengthen their bond, and it's all happening here in District 3! Today I had the pleasure of joining Consul General Sergio Strozzi for a tour of INNOVOIT where I saw firsthand the impressive programs they operate to bring Italian entrepreneurs to our city.

A new tradition - honored to participate in the first Chinatown Pride! 🏳️‍🌈😀

San Francisco's downtown is coming back faster thanks to the stewardship of the Downtown Partnership CBD.

Their work is keeping streets clean, activating beautiful plazas, and connecting countless visitors to information. Thank you for the tour and the chance to see your important work firsthand.

Thanks to everyone who joined our May Office Hours at Fueling Station on Russian Hill. These monthly coffee chats are a great way to hear what's on your mind and answer questions.

We rotate neighborhoods every month to make sure it's easy to stop by ☕

Walking the streets of Lower Nob Hill with Mayor Lurie this week.

Appreciate your time and commitment to supporting this incredible neighborhood that all too often has been forgotten in District 3.

Hopped on the SF Public Library Bookmobile this weekend to check out new books for baby! 👶📚

We're lucky to have such an incredible library system that arrives to make it easier for everyone to access books and critical learning resources. Thank you San Francisco Public Library!

Thrilled to welcome new Entertainment Zones to Pier 39 and Union Square.

This new approach works. It supports small businesses, boosts foot traffic, and brings joy to our streets! 🎉🍻

Thank you @scottwiener.bsky.social for your leadership in making this possible!

Started the day with the Clean Corridors team from Dept. of Public Works to tackle Hyde Street. 💧🧽

San Francisco is coming back, and new headlines are being written.

Newsweek just profiled what is happening and titled it “San Francisco's Great American Comeback.”

I’m honored that they named me as a “key voice in San Francisco’s efforts to combat crime and reshape the city’s recovery narrative.”

We can't have a safe, strong city unless we confront the toll - both human and economic - of traffic collisions in our city. Everyone should be able to walk, bike, and roll in our city without fearing for their lives.

Today we rallied with safe street advocates to make this clear.
