Eagles and NFL fan. I love defense, but offense is great too.
With all the blitzing Flores likes, I think the Vikings have made a mistake not improving their secondary more. I like some of the pieces on the back-end, but it would benefit to have a bit more.

I know the Eagles would like to keep DeJean in the Ni. If there continue to be issues at the second corner spot though, they may have to move him to corner full time. I think Gardner-Johnson would be a good option, not at safety where you want Mukuba to develop, but at Ni.

One positive for the Eagles tonight has been Jordan Davis. A number of plays where he has had pressure up the middle.

I know Fangio doesn't love to blitz, but he's going to have to change things up. Maybe more sim pressures, but it has to be something.

We are going to need Ojomo in the middle to really step up tonight given these circumstances.

The Cardinals, Bears, Packers, and Titans are the defenses outside of the Eagles I'm most excited to watch. I love the Cardinals additions this offseason. I expect Dennis Allen to get the most out of the Bears defense. The Packers and Titans have interesting things to watch for.

I still wish the Eagles would have re-signed Isaiah Rodgers. I hope the fact that they didn't doesn't hurt them this season.

The Eagles potentially have two linebackers who can also go join the rest of the front and rush the passer on the edge in Zack Baun and Jihaad Campbell. The flexibility this would give Vic Fangio and the defense is exciting.

The more I read and hear about Andrew Mukuba, the more excited I get about him being on the Eagles.

Calling a tango blitz or another pressure to end and win a game would be a great feeling.

Chiefs' TE Travis Kelce is the engine that makes the intermediate heavy pass system work.

He absorbs eyes & and defensive bodies, creating 1-on-1s for other WRs.

The Eagles' DC, Vic Fangio, doubled Kelce, even in zone, betting he could win the matchups outside.

Or not. He did play cover 1 robber I believe on one play. It did lead to an incompletion on a third down. It was almost an interception. I think they could have played that way all game and they would have won as well. What he did instead obviously worked out great.
I'll be curious to see what Vic Fangio does in this game. Do we see a good dose of cover 1? Does press coverage play an important role for them? What he has up his sleeve will be interesting to see.

MatchQuarters' Super Bowl Preview

Chiefs vs. Eagles

It's a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, which was a 38-35 shootout.

The first iteration was all about the offenses, whereas this one will showcase the defenses.

Vic Fangio mainly uses nickel, not dime, but I think some dime could be beneficial for them when the Chiefs go with 11 personnel. When the Chiefs are in 12 personnel, I think nickel might be best. Of course, Fangio knows way more than me with this stuff. It will be fun to see what he does.

Super Bowl LIX will be the 415th start from a Black QB by the #Eagles, the most in NFL History, by far.

• McNabb: 158
• Cunningham: 112
• Hurts: 75*
• Vick: 41
• Peete: 27
• Young: 3

(*with Super Bowl 59)

The next closest are the Titans/Oilers (341).

I'll be curious to see the Eagles plans on offense against the blitzes and press coverage from Spagnuolo. Avoiding third and long situations by being successful on first and second down will obviously help.
