The smoke was heavy in Seattle today. Tough to breathe, but the colors at sunset were gorgeous.

Kind of obsessing over our monstera thai constellation. The newest leaf (top of the photo) came in with a little bit of funk, and it's that much cooler.

Picked up this gorgeous alocasia polly at Urban Feed & Garden today. I know this is a relatively common alocasia, but I could not pass up this beauty. Bonus: I found 3 giant corms when I was checking the soil. Extra plants!

Loving this new leaf that just came in on my alocasia frydek variegata. This particular plant was grown from a corm, and it has consistently amazed me with its cool variegation patterns and it's ability to maintain at least 4-5 leaves at a time. My other alocasias need to catch up.

Tech and biz news have been reporting on more layoffs that will happen at Microsoft soon. Washington WARN confirms the numbers. I'm not a MSFT FTE, but I lead a team that works with an Xbox game studio. Not sure how this will affect our work. The next couple of weeks are going to suck.

I was photographing gay bingo and people asked if I needed some sparkles and I said why not and then my camera got decorated with rhinestones. I'm not complaining.

I've been pretty good about not adding a ton of new plants lately, but I couldn't resist these two relatively rare plants I found at Swanson's Nursery in Seattle: Philodendron caramel pluto and monstera lechleriana variegated. They are so cool!
