Here's an actual credits still from Fight Club (1999).

Context: Blue Sky Studios was previously a VFX and freelance animation studio before they were acquired by Fox, and Chris Meledandri (Yes, THAT Chris Meledandri) helped them turn into a cinematic animation studio, which is how we got Ice Age.

So, as inspired by one of @plushblueeperic.bsky.social's old art thingies that he showed in his Art Extravaganza video back in 2023, here's a little collage of Danny C. Painter's different dazzling dressings. (Tried to do a catchy thing there)

So, I finally watched Disney/Pixar's Elio, and I'm gonna start a thread talking about my thoughts on it, 'cuz I have a few things to say.

First of all, the film itself is very good in my opinion. It manages to tell a sweet story with some heart and good comedy.

So, I decided to experiment a little bit and dip my toes into the world of DVD cover and spine art design, starting with *West Side Story* (2021). I decided to go a bit retro for this one, for the fun of it. What do y'all think?

Probably gonna make the back cover art later on.
The cover features a picture of the two main protagonists of the film, Tony (played by Ansel Elgort) and María (played by Rachel Zegler), staring at each other. The picture in encased in a red rectangle, with a blue one on top and another one, this time yellow, on the right. The blue rectangle has the title of the film, while the yellow one has the words "A STEVEN SPIELBERG FILM", with the 20th Century Studios and Amblin Entertainment logo symbols below it. There is also an additional thin red rectangle at the very top, with the letters "DVD" inside of it. The spine features an alternate poster art featuring Tony and María at the top, the title of the film in blue in the middle, and the DVD Video and 20th Century Studios logos at the bottom.

I made a simple drawing of Jenny Wakeman from My Life as a Teenage Robot as an exercise. I love how simple, yet beautiful the art style of this show is. I'll try doing some of the other characters another time.
