I see this as being overwhelmed. The canvas is full of so many voices and elements that the underlying person is being drowned out, not given any room to breathe. As if there is no space for them, even in something meant to be their own.

I see this painting being about not being able to run away from your responsibilities. I see the raven as having risen up so high that it believes itself to be "above" its previous reaponsibilities and problems (the red), yet those same things are waiting for it in the sky, along with the new black.
