Why aren't the biggest companies in World history competing against each other? In a functioning market, Google, Apple and Microsoft would be leveraging their browsers to take sales from Amazon. How is Amazon surviving? SMEs don't seem to be appearing in PPC results. Is the market a stitch-up?

I think effortless dopamine is the problem - the Netflix ADHD generation. Much better to be mentally engaged. Off to play Railway Manager 2 after lunch!

If I were in charge, I would be looking into the funding for the QAnon conspiracy, which is increasingly looking like cover for what was really happening. If you can't deny it, create a ridiculous caricature to delegitimise any investigation. Classic interference.

Why the World hasn't stopped is implicit in the question - we don't want the World to stop. We don't want to lift the lid on our so-called democracies.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social, you've got to stop this madness! - Oh yes, please bomb my country and kill millions. What is wrong with you? This comment sounds extreme, but it's the conventional wisdom that is extreme. Stop thousands being killed by killing millions like in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Go to a buffet and see the sizes of the people eating salads Vs those piling on a massive plate of fat, sugar and simple carbs. You are inverting the 90% and 10% causes to be politically correct. And I've never used the silly PC term before! It's the shit food (mostly)!

Are we looking at a World of perma-war by leaders using military action solely to avoid criminal and civil liability that awaits them in peace-time? Trump, Netanyahu, Putin.....

Subject for today - What has happened to British Nationalism? It is neither British nor Nationalist - it seems to be a movement run for the biggest international bidder. It can be more accurately described as US Nationalist.

There's an elephant in the room with nobody talking about it - not the left, the right, centrists, the BBC, the Telegraph, not even you.

How has the complete dominance of the US over the UK been missed? It should've been a permanent debate for the last 20 years.

Putin's fingerprints are all over these trends - from Brexit through to this national security strategy. Weaken the EU, strengthen Russia. Use the US as a lever. Lead an army of useful idiots. It's been telegraphed.

No James, Labour's errors aren't 'self-inflicted', they are inflicted by the complete dominance of right wing media. These 'errors' committed by the Tories or Reform would have gone without comment. What you have here is hyper-focus on anything that can be spun as an error.

I think Farage is toast. Without him Reform UK is toast. Tories and Reform will merge before the next election; I don't see an alternative. Massive political reset coming.....

Nobody asks Farage difficult questions - "If it were proved that someone had made comments in support of the holocaust, should that person still be in UK politics?"

The lack of self awareness is becoming painful. 'Oh, isn't the media bias terrible in the UK'? Immediately followed by anti-Labour media bias. Availability Heuristic - repeated biased coverage will eventually permeate everything. Note: bias doesn't mean untrue.

Your criticism of the Labour government seems confined to media management. But, then, what you're actually doing is demanding that David should beat Goliath with both hands tied behind his back. Labour doesn't own the Daily Mail.

You've just got the EU/UK export situation completely wrong. It costs more to send most items from the UK - get a researcher to look into it. UK 10% is a BASELINE. EU 15% isn't. The items I'm sending are 17.5% from UK that would be 15% from EU.

Rayner's is an administrative matter - within 12 months, she just fills in a form for HMRC and there is no issue of criminality. So, how is this headline news for months? Jeremy Hunt, Chancellor, 7 properties, tax loophole, deliberate, little or no coverage.

(1) Will HMRC regard this as an error or a crime? (2) When this is answered as the former (the tax can be updated in the same financial year), then why the witch hunt with standards not applied to Tory MPs or media owners?
