There's a new fire burning on the North side of Cameron Lake, opposite from Hwy 4. Currently at 60 hectares in size. A evacuation order is in place for the North side of the lake, and so far Hwy 4 has not been impacted. #vanisle, #BC, #wildfire

Firesmoke is a forecast model, and not super accurate. Local aq sensors will paint a clearer picture, and from what I can see our biggest impact is rush hour.

The tsunami is still ongoing for Amchitka. That's 20 hours straight of going through a complete tidal cycle every 5 minutes.

Here we see the Kamtchatka tsunami impacting a tidal gauge at Amchitka Alaska, beginning at 01:30 UTC (6:20pm PDT). For far the maximum height over local tide was 0.4 meters at 0311 UTC, but waves are still ongoing. #BC #EmergencyManagement #DEM
