Here in north London we say COYS - I’m doing that Sunday, while tomorrow I am grabbing some precious escapism by gently jamming with a lovely, no stress, no pressure musicians who like to get in the zone. I’ll still be saying fuck off Nazi scum but not letting it freak me out for a few hours.

Re-reading The Log From The Sea of Cortez for the billionth time for the cosiness, a biog of Jacques Costeau by Richard Munson, The Practicing Stoic by Ward Farnsworth (a go to when I’m feeling blue) and a new book, The Strand by Geoff Browell and Eileen Chanin.

There’s that lovely book, a biographical novel, about Michelangelo called The Agony and The Ecstasy by Norman Stone, all about the hard work behind an artists out put and creativity etc. always good to be reminded!

Wait…what?!? How the…!?! Such a gorgeous mix of talent, craft, application, graft, technique and all those other cool words about people getting down to doing something they’re bloody good at. Thanks for sharing a real reminder of what’s cool about our species (as opposed to the usual what’s not!)
