The TERFs properly infiltrated the GPEW years ago. When me & Monica joined & started going to conferences circa 2015 they were a nightmare & the leadership were ineffective at tackling them + Shahrar ali was ring leader with Jenny Jones support. But Shahrar Ali has now been excluded.

Portugal does have various visa routes including a relatively low passive income requirement of €10,440 annually for a single person for their passive income visa. They also have a digital nomad visa but that requires proof of income (around €3,480/month).

I have zero support network. Not one friend I see IRL. No family are speaking to me anymore. I stopped socialising. All I do is work, cook, housework and when the weather is ok cycle and get bullied on the road.

The NHS spent years telling her she had a heart problem, then not a heart problem & flip flop. Then decided that because she is trans it must be HIV.... And then there was the time the hospital deleted her hospital records and told her she was a migrant and had to pay for NHS care.

I have had enough too. I feel a wreck all the time. My partner hasn't been well for about 6 years and the NHS has finally decided to take some notice but it's in no hurry despite it being cancer. And she is shafted by the shared ownership scam.

A few issues which things may have moved on but when I was active...
The leadership has no power when it comes to policy or membership, they serve the membership. There was no requirement to involve those who a motion was about. I.e. the TERFs were able & did put forward endless anti-trans motions

I cycle as it avoids the changing room but it's not cheap either. I believe park run is still inclusive though if you have one nearby.
