Our farmland breeding Lapwing remaining are fighting a huge losing battle with Corvids taking the eggs time and again. It’s pitiful watching the adults driving them off only to be massively outnumbered and eggs gone. Another season over without breeding success.

Only my second there! Need to take up angling as they see them all the time 😬

I was playing cricket in the training centre there and saw the Otter pop up. We go for a bacon cob in the cafe in the river gardens and found it again walking round which would be 11.00! The usual cameras are there for the Pegs and missed the Otter 😬

Still no sign of the usual wet weather in the forecast as Autumn draws to a close…..

It’s very true. Many birds will happily wander about when fresh in and feeding so wait and watch is the order of the day.
