Ugo saved them today. I could see shifting Ugo between the 1 and 2, and then subbing Teng and Fort for either Ugo or Fears, but Wojcik should not be a part of that rotation unless very limited.

Duke's defensive adjustments were the difference, and of course down the stretch MSU had no real answer for the Duke zone. Fears and Teng ice cold. Props to Cooper, Kohler and Scott for good games.

Are you kidding me? With a history of Nassar and Tucker & we seek out Fitzgerald? The hazing evidence during his coaching time at Northwestern was strong, even if he didn't know personally the optics are horrible. And he was 4-20 his last 2 yrs at NU. Terrible choice!

Actually feel sorry for the players, they fought hard. And not to make excuses, but another major homer job (think Minnesota) on the no-call on obvious PI on McCray over the middle late.

McCulloch 's 3 at the 9-min mark was huge, it blunted UK's comeback.

I'm sure UK is better than they showed, but MSU put it all together and displayed some serious depth. What a beat down.

What was happening was PJ Fleck was throwing a tantrum on the sidelines which got the crowd involved, and the refs caved and picked up the flag. There are advantages to having a demonstrative coach constantly in the refs' faces, unlike the statue that we have on our sidelines.

Disagree Chris, looked perfectly timed and replay confirmed. My question: why not reviewable, like potential targeting or ball spot? Why not give each team one challenge for any penalty called like that?

In the 4th qtr we had 3rd stringers at DL and LB, and those guys played with heart in a tough situation - that was encouraging.

Maybe it's just me or maybe it's the tired YSU defense, but Tau-Tolliver looks sharp and decisive on runs and blocking.

A lot of missed tackles in the secondary, and poor pass coverage by the LBs, must clean that up or it will be a long night out here vs USC next week.

I can amend my earlier comment about Kelly's fumbling - I think he redeemed himself 100% with the game winning catch!

Great effort by Marsh. I've already lost confidence in O Kelly as a returner and receiver with the fumbles, maybe he'll redeem himself but he has to protect the ball better.

Hi Chris, another season here we go. Thanks for the nice coverage. I thought defense looked pretty solid with Hall a standout, offense sputtered in 2nd half & must be better against good BIG 10 opponents.
