And my country is small and not rich, and still government tries to provide healthcare and kids do have access to the public education system (and yet, that is hard because some parents have no resources, are scared and running)

Is the biggest refugee crisis in the west.
I live in Ecuador. For us here the situation is real. I've seen plenty Venezuelans begin on the streets. Families go into neighborhoods screaming, asking for help. I've seen young girls on te streets, and the stories about them (I think I do not need to explain this part).

For us, is real.

Americans, you might not want to read this, but smoking pot makes you a drug addict.

That is it, and now deal with it and please try to not bother others with the shit you take in.

What killed America, is that, Corporations too big that eat all the small ones, own the land (and then lease/rent it), kill small business and are used by the government for control.

For example it all this is INTENTIONAL, this feeling of "fakeness", so they can subvert expectations, that could be a winner.
Chitose-kun wa Ramune Bin no Naka.

IT will take work for it to be likeable to me, as the MC is just horrible, pretentious, obnoxious. All sounds fake, the interactions, how they behave. The dialogs are empty.

IF THERE IS A TWIST THERE, this might work, otherwise...

Witch Watch

Animation is good, there is some action scenes, but they don't really need much. Character designs are nice, voice acting understood the assignment and it has good sound design.

The plot, while it does have some creative elements, is a bit repetitive.

One of the best voice acting performances ever made in any language.

Be advised if you watch this series, as this is so well done that might be difficult to take
The 13th episode of Gachiakuta had one of the most chilling representations of sexual abuse and its consequences breaking a young child ever made.

Kana Hanazawa, one of the best VAs in the medium gave everything characterizing Amo and her pain, making the whole thing even more impactful.

Also, even on this TL you might notice that I have a tendency to repeat an idea many times.

This is because I'm programmed to people not understanding what I write, so I try to be really clear and insistent.

Like a LLM. So yeah, it was one of my people(?) who was used to train these things.
October 7, 2025 at 12:30 AM
I can also see geniuses with ideas like "lets have the job applicant write something by hand, so he can't use LLMs"

Just to lose some candidates with dyslexia.
At least there is a choice to use LLMs to write for me, but with time I can see managers forcing employees to use these tools to "make stuff easier to read".

I already see non native speakers of a language using it (and this seems reasonable).

There is no escape.

This is interesting. As it is now harder to avoid as bigtech imposes it to you. From search to even Excel.

I can replace Google with DuckDuckGo, that also has AI summaries but way less intrusive. I can deactivate Copilot on Excel as it does not make any sense. I can deactivate it on the Phone.
Do you abstain from AI? I'd love to hear about why you avoid it -- and how hard that might be getting. Send me a DM or Signal @lisabonos.18

One hard reality for the US, and perhaps the west is that inequality was an advantage, as Eastern Nations were poor.

As income increases, as China gets a growing middle class, the advantage of the West as a "client" is less, as western countries are less and less able to dictate terms.

Some tech subs in reddit are basically

"can't you think of the poor shareholders in the multibillion company?"

Disgusting.

Silent Witch: Chinmoku no Majo no Kakushigoto

This one was really well animated, character designs were lovely. Voice acting was good and it had great sound design.

I appreciated the fun directing, as it worked well with the story and characters. The lead, was awesome.

Busu ni Hanataba wo.

Animation goes off model often, but generally works. Character designs, well the "ugly" girl is not ugly, just a bit chubby. The "cute" girl, does not look particularly cute (best character, tho). Voice acting is good, and it has average sound design.

City the Animation

This one had impressive animation, character designs are fun, creative. Voice acting was having also having a lot of fun. Sound design is great. Kyoto Animation just flexing.

The plot is chaotic, full of commentary and absurd situations.

Kijin Gentou Shou

Well... Animation is... lets just say this one had A LOT of production issues, with even half finished episodes reaching streaming services. I do like the character designs, but there is a LOT of off model moments. Voice acting is really good and it has good sound design.
