It's kind of amazing how these things jump out at you in the dark. Maybe if there were a light on it or something the driver might have seen it...

Went over to the Sonoma community center to see the elephant sculptures. Worth the trip, these are cool. thegreatelephantmigration.org

Oh, look at this Liquid Glass ugliness. For work I'm installing Perplexity's Comet browser. It pops up the keychain unlock to import Chrome credentials (yes, I know). I've included part of my system settings so that you can see that "Reduce Transparency" is on. Ugh.

Yesterday I went to a Catholic funeral, my first time attending a service in that sect. This morning I walk by St Vincent de Paul and there are food vendors and the churros truck has "come to sin" painted in the side, and... I'm tempted.

Facebook threatens me in the notifications: "you could be on the public engagement list for 'The Information' this week." A good reminder that laugh reacts to the AI shill posts are still engagement.

The polyurethane I used on this counter sucked, so I'm sanding it all off, inlaying some Ipé around the sink to replace the damaged wood, then gonna finish it with rolled on 2 part Stone Coat.

Thank you Google AI overview: "No, the year 2000 was not 25 years ago; in fact, the year 2000 was exactly 25 years ago in the year 2025."

(Found 'cause it looks like they fixed the "Was 1995 30 years ago" bogosity that's floating around.)

WTF is this? MashDigi is giving this word salad, the headline suggests "Chromebook sales will reach 2023 million units in 1700". Can't tell if this is a machine translation error, or just malicious prose.
