Are there any bats you have your eye on in our price range in free agency? I'm taking a look again at the list of who is available right now. Yastremski might be the best option that y'all talked about recently.

If they use that money, I could also see it going into pitching, but not sure who.

This is absolutely the case. Most members, I think, see the threat now even if they didn't back in March. These Senators are not because they're choosing not to see it.

It's even darker for them to do this hours after Trump pardoned those who tried to steal the 2020 election.

When I was looking at free agency back during Game 4 of the NLCS, I came away thinking that BIchette may be the only guy they may have a realistic shot at on a prove it deal. I suppose they could try and splash for a Bregman at 3B, but that would probably require moving Yelich to clear payroll?

What do you think of the idea of pursuing someone like Bichette and playing him at second next year while Brice moves to short for a year?

I know that Brice doesn't have the greatest arm, but he otherwise has all of the other tools you'd want for a solid defensive shortstop.

In other words, I totally agree with you.

In it's most extreme forms, which are prevalent in the West right now, it's weaponized to create an identity that the ruling class can wield to distract and divide the working class.

The destruction of true working class parties and movements has laid the foundation for this as well.

Pretty much every genocide since the start of the 20th century has had extreme nationalism as at least a major contributor to them.

Hell, it's why fucking Fascism is back literally a century after it started in Europe.

I think it's really been lost on people just how dangerous extreme nationalism is and has been. It was the spark that lit the world aflame during the First World War. It got even worse in the aftermath of it and led to an even more destructive and catastrophic war.

Got to love small sample sizes destroying discourse and perspective for most people.

What's their success rate on screen passes in general and specifically WR screens? Those plays are the ones that have frustrated me most, particularly the WR screens because they feel like they get blown up almost every time they try them going back to last season. I could be wrong

Absolutely agree with the call. Don't let it get to Game 5

I feel the same way. We got incredibly lucky that the zone didn't end up mattering last night. That was one of the worst umpiring performances behind the plate that I've seen in a while.
