Unsolicited advice: If you have an extra day in Portugal, I so highly recommend you visit the castles and gardens in Sintra. It’s do-able as a day trip from Lisbon, and worth an overnight if you can swing it.

(My crew also has lots of built-in redundancy- Wesley can also fly the ship. Tendi can help out in sickbay when needed. Trip can take over command or away missions.)

Bring the Optical section onboard too. A 5-hour flight would be an excellent time to try on glasses.
