In class, we were asked to re-write a classic piece of literature through a queer lens, so I drew on my experience of the trials and tribulations of being a transgender, neurodivergent, blacksmith to write a snarky response to Longfellow's "The Village Blacksmith".

What a thoroughly productive/invigorating day!

People complimented my outfit; I sent in my proposal for my Professional Practice module; got help for more than one student who was panicking about coursework in my capacity as a course rep; and lectures & seminars were fun!

I'm calling it a win!

Here's hoping that the lady I gave (well-meaning but questionable) travel advice to at the train station got to where she was going...! I abandoned my own trip into town after 3 cancelled trains and and endless succession of buses that were too full to board...!
